AP&J Fingerprinting & Identity Services provides mobile document and identity services, including notary, fingerprinting, apostille facilitation, I-9 authorized representative services, background screening coordination, and permit expediting.
We are not a law firm, government agency, or consumer reporting agency. Nothing on this website or provided through our services is intended as legal, immigration, tax, financial, or other professional advice. You should consult a qualified attorney or other appropriate professional for advice specific to your situation.
2) Notary Disclaimer
Notarization confirms the identity of signers, their willingness to sign, and (where required) that they took an oath or affirmation. Notarization does not:
- Validate or guarantee the truth, accuracy, or completeness of the document's contents;
- Make a document legally valid for a specific purpose; or
- Replace legal review by an attorney.
Clients are solely responsible for ensuring their documents are properly prepared and legally sufficient for the intended use.
3) Apostille Disclaimer
We facilitate the submission of apostille applications and related documents to the appropriate government office, such as the Virginia Secretary of State or U.S. Department of State.
We do not control or guarantee government processing times, approval decisions, or acceptance by foreign governments or institutions. Requirements vary by country and document type. If you are unsure of the requirements for your situation, you should contact the receiving country's consulate or consult a qualified attorney.
4) I-9 Disclaimer
When acting as an employer's authorized I-9 representative, we complete Section 2 of Form I-9 based solely on the physical inspection of documents presented by the employee.
We do not:
- Make employment eligibility determinations;
- Authenticate or verify the genuineness of documents; or
- Provide legal or immigration advice about I-9 compliance.
The employer remains solely responsible for Form I-9 compliance, including retention, reverification, and any employment eligibility decisions. Employers should consult qualified immigration or employment counsel for legal guidance.
5) Fingerprinting Disclaimer
We provide FD-258 ink fingerprint rolling services and may supply standard fingerprint cards as needed.
Acceptance of fingerprint cards is at the sole discretion of the requesting agency, employer, or licensing body. We are not responsible for rejections or delays due to:
- Natural print quality or condition of the skin;
- Smudging, wear, or other factors beyond our control; or
- Incorrect submission procedures or changing agency requirements.
6) Background Screening Disclaimer
Background reports are coordinated and provided through a third-party Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)-compliant consumer reporting agency.
AP&J is not a consumer reporting agency and does not make hiring or tenancy decisions. Employers are solely responsible for:
- Providing required FCRA disclosures and obtaining written authorization;
- Using reports in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws; and
- Following any adverse action procedures when using background reports.
Background reports must not be used in a discriminatory manner or in violation of any law.
